Chosun Chicken

Good chicken is hard to find. Some chickens are cooked to much that they end up dry or burnt. some have weird tasting sauce, and the list goes on.

Well, horray! Here’s the answer your chicken problems: Korean chicken!

I have been wanting to try the chicken in Chosun Chicken for a while now. So, Gino and I had dinner at the Banilad branch one Saturday night.

As we entered the restaurant, the staff welcomed us with a warm “Annyeong Haseyo!”

The restaurant had a chill atmosphere and the nice thing about the place was that you can have privacy because you would be seated in booths.

While waiting for our order, we were served with radish pickles, kimchi, and coleslaw. If you’re a fan of the Filipino atchara than the radish pickles is to-die for!

Then, the egg roll was served.

and finally the Chosun Chicken.

Their chicken had a good crunchy skin coated with a sweet-tasting sauce and a good soft, moist meat. 

The sauce was not enough for my preference though (‘cause I’m a “more sauce” type) but the skin and the meat was perfecto!

As what I’ve known, there are 4 branches of Chosun Chicken here in Cebu: in Mango Square, in Gorordo Avenue, in Mactan, in Ouano Avenue, Mandaue (the new building at the back of Parkmall), and this one in Cesar Foodland Building, Gov. M. Cuenco Avenue, Banilad.

Joed’s Lutong Hapon

Japanese cuisine is one of my favorites. I love their umami taste and how they make food like it’s art.

So my first official blog post on my Cebu Go-To Restaurants would be on Joed’s Lutong Hapon.

Joed’s is a Japanese resto that serves quality and affordable food.
